KAU Creates the Largest Digital Warehouse for Educational Resources in the Middle East

 HE KAU President Prof. Abdulrahman Al Youbi received in his office KAU Vice President for Educational Affairs Prof. Abdullah Al Ziyabi, Dean of E-learning and Distant Learning Dr. Hisham Bardesi, along with the vice deans and heads of departments; the officials seeking to congratulate him for KAU earning the Excellence Shield and certificate from Blackboard, one of the top educational technology companies, in honor of having created the largest digital warehouse for educational resources in the Middle East.

KAU was honored in the Blackboard Forum for educational leadership in Riyadh on November 2nd, 2016 by the vice president and international director of Blackboard, Mr. Lee Blakemore.
Such an outstanding achievement by King Abdulaziz University, represented by the Deanship of E-learning and Distant Learning, is considered a pioneering step on the regional level. The digital warehouse comprises around (25,000) educational resources as material for different courses, and these include (1,452) pictures, (153) videos, (271) audio files, (213) PowerPoint presentations, (243) pdf files, and (22,405) html files.

This accomplishment asserts the leadership of KAU in developing university education in general and e-learning and distant learning in particular through its pioneering role in implementing state-of-the-art technology in Saudi Arabia. 

In response to this happy occasion, the dean of e-learning and distant learning transmitted his appreciation to the University’s executive administration headed by HE KAU President Prof. Abdulrahman Al Youbi, expressing gratitude for the unlimited support offered to the e-learning and distant learning department at KAU.
